We all want to live a long and healthy life. How do we make this happen? How can we manifest our health? There are many ways in which you can improve your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being. We will go over 10+ of the most powerful steps that you can take to bring about positive changes in your life and ensure that you have an abundant supply of good health!
Start with the basics: Sleep, hydration and healthy food. How you treat your body while sleeping affects how well it functions when awake. Be sure to get enough sleep every night so that you are rested and rejuvenated for the next day. Drink plenty of water throughout the day, as dehydration can cause fatigue and headaches among other symptoms. The food that you eat is of utmost importance for your health, as well.
Focus on the things you can control: How do you feel about what’s happening in your life right now? Do you judge yourself or others harshly? How much time are you spending dwelling over negative feelings and thoughts when there are people who need help around you? How do you feel in your body when you’re feeling angry or stressed out?
Focus on the things that are within your control: How can you make yourself feel better right now? How can you take care of yourself so that it’s easier to cope with difficult emotions and situations from time to time. What is one thing about the situation that you can change?
Get outside: Spend some time in fresh air by going on walks, look at the sky (especially if there is a lot of sunshine), touch plants or soil; Get your senses stimulated by nature as much as possible.

Get a massage: If you can afford it, see if there are any affordable massages in your area that might be available so you can have some “me” time.
Create some art: You don’t have to be Picasso; you just need a blank sheet of paper and something with which to draw. How about doodling?
Write in your journal: Sometimes it feels like there is no one we can talk to, so why not write it all down on paper (or on an app on your computer or phone). How about writing a letter to yourself?
Volunteer with an animal rescue organization: How often do you hear people say that animals are so therapeutic and they make people feel so much better? How about volunteering with an animal rescue organization and getting to know some sweet animals up close.
Take a nap: Sometimes the quickest way to recharge is just taking a quick rest. How about napping for 20 minutes or more?
Watch TV/ Movies/ go to the Cinema: How about using some of those Netflix credits for an hour or two on the couch.
Take care of yourself: How often do you think, “I should really take care of myself” but never actually make time for that self-care. How about making it a priority this week!

- Engage in some self-care: How you take care of yourself can be anything from taking a bath, to journaling or going for a run. Grab any book you have on hand and read it. What’s your favourite way to do something nice for yourself?
- Exercise: How about getting outside for a walk, go to the gym, practice yoga or bike to work.
- Drink water: How often have you gone all day without drinking any water and then think about how thirsty you are when it comes time to hang out with friends? How about a nice, big glass of water when you wake up in the morning or right before bed.
- Eat well: Eat healthier. How about eating more whole foods, enjoying fresh fruits and vegetables with dinner as well as having one less meal out per day.
- Sleep more: How about doing a short meditation or calming exercise before bed?
- Manage your stress: How can you manage your stress better this week by spending less time on social media and more time doing things that make you happy?
- Take care of yourself – spiritually: How can you take care of your spiritual needs by going to church, temple or mosque?
- Drink less: How can you drink less alcohol this week? How about enjoying a glass of wine with dinner every other night instead of nightly as well as limiting caffeine intake to one cup per day.
- Practice self-compassion: How can you practice self-compassion more by being kinder to yourself? How about practicing mindful meditation or do yoga together.
- Slow down: How about taking deep breaths, meditating and slowing your pace of work.
Spend quality time with loved ones: How can you spend more time with your loved ones. How about going for walks, playing games or doing a puzzle together.
Enjoy your life: How can you enjoy yourself. How about taking time to relax with some tea, asking what makes you happy and telling people how much they mean to you. Ask someone at work if they want to go out for coffee.
Focus on the present: How about being mindful of what is happening and concentrating only on that.
Connect with others: How can you connect more deeply to yourself and other people this week? How about taking time for a heart-to-heart talk, practicing nonverbal communication or doing something kind for someone else without expecting anything back.
These are some of the ways we create our health everyday through our thoughts, actions and feelings. The best way to start manifesting how healthy you want to be is by identifying those things that do not serve you well anymore – like unhealthy habits and toxic relationships – so they don’t have a hold over your life.
How can we make better choices each day that will allow us to have the energy of our dreams while also taking care of ourselves physically, mentally and emotionally so we feel fully alive and present for all those around us who need us now more than ever before.
You are worth it! You deserve it! Remember when life gets hard or too busy don’t forget what is really important: YOU ARE WORTH IT! YOU DESERVE IT!! Keep on going with courage fearlessly so you can live the life of your dreams.
