Do you ever think about what’s going on in your head? “One must deliver himself with the power of his thoughts, and not degrade himself,” Krishna tells Arjuna in the ancient Vedic epic Bhagavad-Gita. The conditioned soul’s intellect is both his friend and his foe. The mind is the finest of allies for those who have conquered it; nevertheless, for those who have not, the mind will remain the greatest opponent.”

The first thing you’ll notice when you start studying your mind is that you have no control over it. How many times have you read anything, sometimes even trying to focus on the subject, only to find yourself thinking about something completely unrelated at the same time?

Controlling your mind is required to manifest what you desire. Concentration, meditation, and visualisation are all things that you should do on a regular basis. You must concentrate on manifesting the things you desire. Allowing your thoughts to freely jump from one subject to another, like a monkey does from tree to tree, will take a long time to accomplish your objectives.

The significance of living in the NOW is one facet of this. You may have noticed that we frequently reflect on the past, and when we do, we frequently recall “good old days.” “Old good moments” do not exist. We just forget about the bad times and focus on the good because it allows us to disconnect from reality and live in a pleasant fantasy.

The point is that the past, happy or sad is dead. We can’t change it. It also doesn’t have any value for our manifesting purposes. Of course, we can hopefully learn from our past mistakes, but that’s it, otherwise dwelling on the past is just a waste of time.

If we don’t think about the past we usually think about the future. Often, we are afraid of the future, sometimes we look at the future with hope. But the future is made in the present. We need to start living in the present and concentrate on the present. We need to be happy now.

If we are happy now, we build our happy future. Because of that it is very important to gradually control the mind and to live in the now; try to be happy now.

The idea is that the past, whether happy or painful, is no longer alive. We won’t be able to fix it. It’s also of little use to us when it comes to manifesting. Of course, we may learn from our mistakes in the past, but that’s all there is to it; otherwise, focusing on the past is a waste of time.

We tend to think about the future if we don’t think about the past. We are often fearful of the future, but we can also be hopeful about it. The future, on the other hand, is created in the present. We must begin to live in the now and focus on the present. Now is the time to be happy.

If we are content in the now, we will be content in the future. As a result, it is critical to progressively regulate the mind and live in the present; strive to be happy now.

We have the ability to easily alter our mental states. We can listen to music that we enjoy, think about someone we care about, or gaze at something lovely. Whatever makes you happy, and most importantly, we can see the things we want in the future as already being accomplished.

Simple yogic breathing techniques, which help to acquire mental calm and control rapidly, are an excellent approach to get in a good mood.

Another useful technique is to express thanks for both what you have and what you want. When you are appreciative, you cannot be unhappy.
